2007 VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:
MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS
Role:
Researching, compiling and uploading contact lists
Contacting and distributing EIA promotional content to associations and non-profits
Contacting press, radio and tv to secure publicity and/or advertising in kind sponsorship
Skills:
- Service oriented with a professional courteous manner
- Fast and accurate data entry skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Competent with Excel, Outlook, MS Word
- Self starter - able to work from home
- Experience with Dreamweaver and/or Photoshop would be a real bonus

MEDIA RELATIONS
Looking for key contacts and direct exposure to media and significant BC based businesses?
Working directly with all forms of media, you will be distributing press releases and making
direct contact to secure print, radio and tv interviews as well as advertising in kind sponsorship.
Strong organizational skills, high level of competence dealing with people and desktop
software (expecially Excel) is required.

NOMINATIONS AND APPLICATIONS RECRUITER
Role:
- To assist in contacting businesses and individuals about the 2006 EIA Awards.
- Key responsibilities involve making email and phone contact with businesses identified as leaders in corporate social responsibility. Please be prepared to commit roughly 3 hours a week (30 hours total service work) between May 23 and July 24. Volunteers will receive appropriate recognition for their contribution to the Ethics in Action™ Awards.
Skills:
- Comfortable on the phone and doing phone solicitations
- Good communicator in spoken and written English
- Friendly and warm personality
- Believes in corporate social responsibility
- Organized and self-motivated
- Flexible schedule
- Experience using Maximizer (contact management) software is an asset
Time:
- 3 hours a week until July 24 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday.
