Completing Your Application

  1. Review EIA Ethics Check Procedures

  2. Review the award categories and decide if the category in which you’ve been nominated best suits the business or individual. You may choose to switch categories.

  3. A business or individual may self-nominate or self-apply.

  4. Applicants may be entered in one category only. The Selection Committee reserves the right to transfer a nominee to a more appropriate category.

  5. Complete the Application Form and have it signed by a contact person (in the nominated business) or the individual applying.

  6. If you and your nominator are collaborating on the application process, please ensure that only one person files the application online.

  7. Be sure to develop your answers and application summary in a word file and then copy and paste them into the online application form, as you will not be able to navigate in and out of the online form.

  8. Write a 200 word summary of your application. If you are chosen as a finalist this summary will be posted on the Ethics in Action website and in the awards event program. This profile should include the nature of your business (or for individual applications, your position) and highlight the reason why you are deserving of an Ethics in Action award.

  9. Provide two letters of support from people or organizations that have benefited from or collaborated with you in your environmental and/or socially responsible initiatives. Ideally these letters will be 500 words, and should not exceed 1000 words. Letters should be addressed to the Ethics in Action Selection Committee.

  10. Businesses please provide your full color logo in digital EPS format at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. If you don’t know what the technical terms mean, call us; we can help.
